3.1 I get the error message: 'Original Disc Could not be found or authenticated (e.g. 1000 or 4001)', what can I do?
3.2 I get the error message: 'Emulation detected error (e.g. 2500 or 9000)', what can I do?

3.4 Can I make a backup copy of my SecuROM™ protected disc?

3.1 I get the error message: 'Original Disc could not be found or authenticated (e.g. 1000 or 4001)', what can I do?

Please unmount all images, deactivate running emulation software and insert the original disc and not a backup.
If you still face the same error message, please download the latest official patch available for your version of the program.
If you still receive the same error message, please install the SecuROM™ Diagnostics Tool for further assistance and follow the instructions on the website..


3.2 I get the error message: 'Emulation detected error (e.g. 2500 or 9000)', what can I do?

3.3 I get the error message: 'Wrong disc inserted', what can I do?

A disc different to the one called for by the software was detected. Please consult your software guide regarding the correct disc ('play disc') needed for authentication.

If the application comes on several discs (multi disc set) please try all of them for launching the software.

If you receive this error message right after your have installed an official patch, you might have downloaded a wrong patch for your version of the program. In this case, please uninstall the patch (re-install the program) and contact the software publisher regarding a correct patch for your version of the program.

3.4 Can I make a backup copy of my SecuROM™ protected disc?

SecuROM™ does not prevent making a copy for data backup. You can even install the application from the backup copy.

Starting a SecuROM™ protected application for which the publisher has chosen the 'disc check' feature of SecuROM™ means that the original disc must be in the drive to launch the application.
