Q: I've heard that this game gives me the great possibility to choose between one-time-only online activation (I don't have to keep my disc in the drive all the time) or disc check.
A: This is correct for the retail version shipped on DVD. You can use the shortcut "Activate the Game" in the Windows start menu to activate the game online once - you can then store your DVD away. Per default, the game checks for the original disc in the drive.
Q: I get the error message: 'The serial number was not found in the database.'
A: You probably mistyped your serial number. Please double check the serial you have entered.

Q: I get the error message: 'No proper connection could be made with the activation server.'
A: If you are having problems activating your game, please visit the SecuROM™ PA Manual Unlock Website where you can generate an unlock code and activate your game manually.
Q: I get the error message: 'Too many activations on different PCs or too many reactivations on the same PC have been performed.'
A: Please run the revoke tool, http://download.securom.com/support/ratof/RevokeRATOF.zip, on the PC where you have originally activated 'Runaway: A Twist of Fate'. After revoking this activation, you will be able to activate your application on a different PC.
Q: I get the error message: 'Emulation detected error (e.g. 2500)'.
A: Please unmount all images, deactivate running emulation software and put the original disc in your drive.
If the error message persists, please download the SecuROM™ Diagnostics Tool and follow the instructions on the website.
