Q: I get a BSOD (blue screen) because usbstor.sys is crashing.
A: Sending a specific command to a USB drive might cause the Microsoft usbstor.sys driver to crash. Please unplug (first do a 'safely remove' of your hardware) any attached USB CD/DVD/BD drive. As an alternative please download the latest official update from: http://www.arma2.com/support/updates/


Alternatively (for Windows Vista or Windows Server 2008): Please download the Microsoft Hotfix for this problem.


Q: I get the error message: 'Too many activations on different PCs or too many reactivations on the same PC have been performed...'
A: Please run the revoke tool and execute it on the PC where you have activated ARMA 2 before: http://download.securom.com/support/arma2/revokearma2.zip

 

Q: I get the error message: 'No proper connection could be made with the activation server.'
A: If you are having problems activating your game you can also visit our manual unlock website https://support.securom.com/PAunlock/?c=1000 to generate an unlock code yourself and activate your game manually.

 

Q: I get the error message: 'The serial number was not found in the database.'
A: The number one problem with serial numbers is mistyping. Double check the characters you have entered. To help identify each character of the serial number correctly, please see common misinterpretations:

Q: I get the error message: 'The SERIAL was not found in the database. Most likely the SERIAL has been entered incorrectly.'
A: Please perform this steps ONLY if you bought the boxed version of the game in Germany, Russia or Poland:


  • Open the installation directory of the game, usually 'C:/Program Files (x86)/Bohemia Interactive/ArmA 2 Operation Arrowhead/'
  • Delete the file called 'paul.dll'
  • Launch the game again

Q: I get the error message: 'The serial number was not found in the database.'
A: The number one problem with serial numbers is mistyping. Double check the characters you have entered. To help identify each character of the serial number correctly, please see common misinterpretations:


  • Digit 'Zero' and 'O' (like 'Oscar')
  • Digit 'One' and 'I' (like 'India')
  • Digit 'Two' and 'Z' (like 'Zulu')
  • Digit 'Eight' and 'B' (like 'Bravo')
  • Include all hyphen ('-') as shown in the serial number
